Taste of Summer

Local fruit growers from Bay View offering a wide range of quality fresh fruit including apples, berries, grapes, stone fruit and many other seasonal fruits.

Russell Hope has been growing produce his whole life, and while the Taste of Summer stall has been at the famers market for four seasons you probably know them for their Bayview shop and their real fruit ice cream. 
In addition to plenty of fresh fruit they also make fresh juice and sell preserves.
Russell’s favourites don’t come into season until Jan-Feb, rose diamond nectarine, omega plum, Doris, apricots grown in the new year have a sharp flavour (they use them in their real fruit ice cream, balanced perfectly with the sweet ice cream).
The freedom plums are especially good roasted with a little honey and halloumi, served with roasted almond and vanilla ice cream.
