Meet Nick and Sam the team behind Sammies!

Nick is the talent behind the food and Sam the brains behind the business. They joined the Farmers Market at the end of 2022 and love serving up hot breakfast Sammies for the masses.

A few key ingredients led to the creation of Sammies a love for food, inspired by years of travelling. A couple of Brits from a nation of sandwich eaters missing the taste of home! And lock down, where Nick started his love affair with bread.

After many wacky and failed sandwich attempts Sammies launched in June 2022 at the shipping container in Landmark Square. You can find them there every Thursday and Friday just for the lunch hour from 12 till 1. Nick changes the menu every few weeks using local seasonal produce, regularly sourced from fellow market traders to inspire his flavour combinations.

The bread really is the star of the show, a focaccia style loaf that takes 20 hours and a lot of love. Nicks aim is to make a meal between bread with quality ingredients, homemade sauces and a Sammie packed full of flavour!

The market best seller would have to be the classic Sausage Smash – A herbie pork patty with cheesy egg, mayo and a kasundi sauce. If you’ve not tried it yet what are you waiting for!
