The Classic Butcher is a family-owned business based in Havelock North, led by award-winning butcher Ben Andrews. With over 27 years in the meat industry, Ben brings deep expertise, a commitment to quality, and a passion for traditional butchery. He began his journey at Verkerks Limited in Christchurch and has since become known for his attention to detail, customer care, and love for showcasing the best locally sourced meats.

At The Classic Butcher, Ben focuses on traditional cuts, house-made sausages, and ready-to-cook favourites, always aiming to deliver both flavour and convenience to his customers. 

Outside of the shop, Ben enjoys spending time with his family and has recently rediscovered a passion for boxing. For Ben, butchery isn’t just a job – it’s a calling, one he’s proud to share with the Hawke’s Bay community.
