What’s the Competition About?
We are inviting artists of all skill levels to create a stunning mural that captures the essence of our beloved farmers’ market. Whether you’re inspired by the vibrant farm-to-table culture, the local growers and makers, or the beautiful Hawke’s Bay lifestyle, we want to see your artistic vision come to life. The theme of the competition is to capture the essence of farm-to-table, local growers, and the spirit of Hawke’s Bay.
The Prize
The winning artist will receive a cash prize of $500 and the unique opportunity to have their artwork featured on our market container in the picturesque Waikoko Gardens. Imagine your creation becoming a permanent part of the market experience for all our visitors to admire!
How to Enter
- Create your artwork, keeping in mind the dimensions suitable for a 20ft container. Please create your artwork to fit a 6.096m x 2.438m canvas at 300 DPI, using a 7200 x 2900 pixel resolution. You may create a digital template with these dimensions, preferably in a 1:20 scale for easy handling. A printable template is available click here
